1. An individual who, as in Ian Gilliam's movie "Brazil" is sane, but because he/she lives in a sensless, hypocritical, destructive, soulless, and blindly patriotic society where "doublethink" is the only thinking the average citizen does, it is assumed that he is the crazy one.
"Those darn foreigners--I'm glad America doesn't do that" the TV said. PabloinBrazil shook his head in disgust as he watched the slaughter of innocent women and children by B-52 bombers dropping bombs from two miles high.
