Genre of music most notably, the height of the 80's when sunset strip spandex wearing musicians put on a hard front only to have their only hit to be none other than a ballad and then placing in the pop charts. not very metal I'd say.
"Well, let's see whats on this station" (brief pause) insert over processed acoustic guitar with a cavernous drum fill. "looks like a dose of panty metal".
