In the sports world, a term referring to the scandal in the 2007 National Football League (NFL) season in which the New England Patriots were caught illegally videotaping the New York Jets' defensive signals. May also be referred to as "videogate" or "cameragate".

Patriotgate was an example of pure arrogance on Belichick's part. Did he really think he wouldn't get caught?
