The characterused in writing after a statement that is notes exclamatory as an assertion or proclamation, yet moderately more intense and emotional than a placid comment.

Is used to express written emotions such as sarcasm, contempt, disdain, etc.

The current character with standard keyboards is: -. (a hyphenfollowed immediately by a period)
