What is Phagophobia?

A term describing the fear of swallowing, usually developed in young children as a result of being force-fed medicine.

Sometimes related to the fear of being eaten.

Phagophobia is not to be confused with a fear of eating (Sitophobia) or a fear of choking (Pseudodysphagia), both of which have their own separate classification.

Jimmy hasn't eaten anything solid in months because of his phagophobia.
