Having the qualities of a story by Philip K. Dick, a 20th century writer who regularly asked readers to consider the nature of reality and humanity. Films directly based on his work include "A Scanner Darkly," "Blade Runner," and "Barjo"; but many other films and novels at the turn of the century have adopted a phildickian tone.
