What is Picked Clean?

When something has been completely emptied of its contents. Usually used in more morbid contexts, but can be used for most anything.

Just two days after it was discovered, the tomb was completely picked clean of artifacts.

The wreckage had been picked clean by salvagers.

The vultures picked the corpse clean.
