Plantation Rap

What is Plantation Rap?

1.

Plantation rap is simply another genre of hip-hop. It can easily be identified by the poorly done beats, ignorant lyrical content, rampant use of the word 'nigga', and slurred speech of the rapper. Some common topics in plantation rap include: Money, girls/hoes/bitches, ice, and other things that the rapper claims to have.

Plantation rap videos are easily identified by the hideous rappers with cheap, gold foil 'jewelry' on, background dancers that wouldn't give them the time of day if they weren't getting paid to, and cars that probably have to be returned to the real owners once the video shoot is over.

Some examples of plantation rap are songs from the following: Gucci Mane, Hurricane Chris, OJ the Juice Man, Soulja Boy, and Dipset.
