What is Pledge Of Allegiance?

A type of brainwashing invented by the government of the United States and crammed down your throat by schools since preschool. Translated into simpler terms, the pledge means this:
"I promise my complete loyalty to the flag of the United States, and to the government of the United States, which is a country in which everybody believes in and is ruled by 'God' and human rights are honored, with freedom and due process of law for everybody."
Although it promises human rights, there is no evidence of this elsewhere in the country, and half of the people who recite it every day probably do not know what it means. They just say it because they were told to, like good little subordinates.
Yolanda: "Have you recited the pledge of allegiance today?"
Richard: "No. I do not believe in such foolish brainwashing."
Yolanda: "This is not brainwashing"
Richard: "Uh oh, they have already infected you. Now you must be destroyed."

Daily address read throughout public schools in America every morning. Used to be just fine and dandy until President Eisenhower added 'under God' in 1954 to spite the communists.
Now that 'under God' is a clear violation of the Establishment Clause of the federal Constitution, as defined by the Supreme Court in Engel v. Vitale, people push to remove the words from the Pledge. Others, such as
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

You know what? Christians are right, I mean why should us atheists care about two simple words? Well, how about we turn the situation around on you. How about we change the pledge to say "One Nation, under a non-existent God" instead? Now you can not make a big deal about it and now you can 'just not say it'.

The Pledge of Allegiance is a perfect example of hypocracy, injustice and in some cases, religeous persecution.
The United States of America was founded by people fleeing religeous persecution, not by christians seeking to force christianity onto its populace. It was founded by those whom believe in freedom, and those ancestors would not be pleased with how U.S.A. is today, hundreds of thousands did not fight off the British and die just for U.S.A. to become how it is today.
As for religeous persecution, some religeons do not believe in worshiping a fucking flag, such as Jehovahs Witnesses, however the government still forces them to say the Pledge of Allegiance in its schools.
My Pledge of Allegiance:
I pledge allegiance to that fucking cloth with stars and stripes on it and to the tyranny in which it stands, since i'll be punished if I don't, one tyranny not under god, divisible, without liberty, injustice for all.

Daily address read in public schools. Instated by Congress. Later, Congress adds "under God" to the Pledge. Somehow fundamentalist Christians believe Congress passing a law respecting an establishment of religion doesn't violate the whole "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" thing.
America was founded on God and not freedom. If you disagree, I invite you to move out of our great theocracy.

The daily reminder in school of how fortunate we are to live in the nation we do. A government of the people, by the people, and for the people. It is our pledge to be in support of our country. Through it, we recognize, and honor, the sacrifices of those who built and protected our nation, past and present.
The phrase, "Under God," is often found to be offensive towards atheists. However, the nation was founded by christians. Even the Natives belived in a higher power. America is, and always has been, a nation of a majority of God-fearing people. Also, God can be interpreted in many ways, such as Yaweh, the Christian God, Allah, the Muslim God, or whichever makes senes to the individual. How can something open to interpretation be offensive?
Lastly, America is NOT fascist. We do not worship the flag. The flag is merely a symbol of our proud nation. We respect and honor it like we would any other symbol of our nation.
The pledge of alleigance represents our loyalty to the nation that truly is the model of the free world. Communism, Feudalism, Mercantilism, and Fascism are all humbled by her glory. Ours is a nation of freedom and democracy. Through the pledge of allegiance, we honor and respect it, for the majority of the world does not enjoy the wealth, power, and standard of living of the US of A.
