1. Powerful Irish-American street gang that resided in New York in the 1800s. Rumored to be named for either the fact that they sat on fire plugs, or their giant plug hats filled with rags. They would wear leather and wool over their ears as protection during fights. All gang members were over 6 feet tall

2. A number of plug ugly individuals, who tend to be badass Irish mofos.
