What is Plur?
1.
n. The lifestyle concept of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. Originated in a speech by NYC DJ Frankie Bones early in the history of raves, it's undefined dogma of comraderie for all humanity has been adopted by many ravers as an attempted lifestyle.
We as a community need to observe PLUR in our everyday lives; the reason we love the people around us is because we all love the music, and so we should try to reach beyond that and embrace our fellow man.
2.
P= peace
L= love
U= unity
R= respect
it started up in the rave scene/culture. dj frankie bones was believed to have started PLUR after a fight started while his was deejayin. he said "If you don't start showing some peace, love, and unity, I'll break your fucking faces." then respect was added to it in a discussion in a rave newsgroup(alt.music.rave)
its also mainly used on rave sites and stuff like gs.c(glowsticking) cauz u wouldnt say PLUR in real life but u would say peace love unity and respect.
it is also sometihng that ppl/ravers live by. it has a good meaning that should be used everywhere i reckon
do u PLUR?
man show some PLUR....
PLUR is the way to live by

Peace
Love
Unity
Respect
It's not just those 4 words, but there's so much more meaning behind it. I read another entry where someone talked about it being a bunch of bullshit and after a rave they won't follow it. But raves have nothing to do with it, it's just about living everyday life and having peace, love, unity, and respecting those around you. In everything you do.. :)
" I believe we all should live by PLUR, and the world would be a much happier place. "

PLUR is an acronym for Peace Love Unity Respect.
It is propagated by lame raver kids who wear too many colorful beaded bracelets and are either:
a) rolling hard
or
b) actually go to raves sober because "it's about the music man"
Personally, I love raving but I'm bothered by those damned pesky plur kids.
Real-Life Anecdote:
PLUR kid "Hey, this your first rave?"
Me "Nah, but this is great!"
PLUR kid "Yeah, definitely. This is probably my fortieth."
Me "..ol."
PLUR kid "Well, here, have my plur bracelet. I'm spreading the message, man."
*gives bracelet*
Me "Thank you so much"
PLUR kid "Never forget! peace love unity respect! take that everywhere with you man!"

Peace Love Unity and Respect
A way of life that is often scorned by the members of society whose minds have been saturated with the selfish, egotistical propaganda of the world around them. (See: Chav)
PLUR is often used during discussions to emphasize the fact that even when disagreements occur, people can still show respect for one another and their beliefs. It is often mistaken for a gesture of hostility and arrogance, but usually only by people who feel insecure about having their viewpoint challenged. (see: Chav)
You might hear this phrase from freaky hippy guys: 'yeah, like, PLUR maaaaannn!'
