What is Pollardize?

1.

To remove all visible logos and brand marks from a product before using or wearing it in order to make it less vulgar; named for Cayce Pollard, the main character in William Gibson's novel Pattern Recognition, who is made violently ill by logos and removes them from her clothing. The term is being used in fashion/art circles.
