Sexual attraction to a female character in a video game. Common icons of polygon fever include Lara Croft and Mai Shiranui. People afflicted with the disease are usually gaming nerds who can't score a girl in real life. The disease is temporary and can last over 3 months or just a few weeks; it depends on the person.

I must admit... I suffer from this disease.

Fredo got a mad case of polygon fever after seeing Kitana in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Now he fantasizes about her during math class.
