Post Oak Bluff

What is Post Oak Bluff?

1.

A poker term meaning a bluffin which the bet is a small fraction of the pot. The concept behind the move is that an opponent will interpret the bet as indicating a strong hand and that the player betting is afraid a larger bet will not get paid off (called). The term is believed to originate in Texas where the cheapest wood used to make fence-posts is known as "post oak."

Sammy min-bet the end but I was sure he was on a post oak bluff so I popped him back with bottom pair and he mucked.
