The act of promising to attend something with your friends, and then the day before the event come up with some sort of implausable excuse to get out of it.
Person 1: "Wheres John today, he said he'd come along with us...?"
Person 2: "He's going to see his uncle today.... looks like he decided to pull a dooley on us."
