To "pull a matrix" is to "forget" that any sequels of a particular movie existed. By not acknowledging the crapiness of the second and possibly third sequel, you boost the awesomeness of the original.
#1: Ok... that last Pirate movie sucked!
#2: yeah man, I'm just gonna pull a matrix on that... just like I did with Spiderman.
#1: Good idea man... I gotta jet, I have go watch "The land before time #10 with my little bro."
