Pump It Up

What is Pump It Up?

1.

Pump It Up is a Korean Dance simulation game made by Andamiro, and it was actually created before Dance Dance Revolution. There was a huge legal dispute when Konami brought DDR to the US and Andamiro wanted to bring Pump here, but whatever they're bother here now. They both kick ass, and have their hight and lows. Any DDR player who says Pump sucks is a jackass. Any Pump player who says DDR sucks is a jackass.

I can OWN you at Pump AND DDR. So quit your bitching, fucktards.

2.

First of all, it's not a Japanese game. It's from Korea and it was developed by Andamiro Entertainment. It's similiar to Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) by Konami but instead of up, down, left, and right buttons, it has up-right, up-left, down-right, down-left, and center buttons. The songs are more of Pop than DDR which contains more Techno.

3.

The greastest dance game ever to grace arcades. The formula of dance smulation was created by DDR, but the gameplay, graphics, music, and presentation was perfected by Pump it Up.

"Are you into DDR?"

"Yeah, but I like Pump better."

4.

Sweet fucking dance game. Better than DDR, because of it's corner steps instead of up/down, left/right steps. Also includes a center step.

Can often confuse an avid DDR player, making them look like an ass.

The same goes for an avid PIU player when trying out DDR. Stick to one machine.

Holy shit man! Look at Zeke on the PIU machine! Is he on crack or something?!

5.

A dancing arcade game made by the Korean Company Andamiro after they saw Dance Dance Revolutionand decided that it would be cool to make a similar version, but instead of the cardinal directions as dance steps, they made their dance pad with diagonal directions and a center step. While in Dance Dance Revolution, the steps on the screen are coloured differently if they are on the beat, the off beat, or eighth notes, Pump it Up has the upper two steps as orange, the lower two as blue, and the center as yellow.

I have nothing against Pump it Up, but i played Dance Dance Revolution before I started Pump it Up, so it was a little difficult for me. I enjoy playing both, with DDR because I can do the awesome really hard songs, and Pump it Up because the Korean and Banya songs are just kick-ass.
