Quarter Mile

What is Quarter Mile?

1.

What young Americans do when they get theur first car (aaaw, ain't that sweet).

This basically means that a piece of straight road, one quarter of a mile in length is found, sealed off from normal drivers, and a bunch of fagberts race cheap cars (whether they be economy Japanese (ricer) or american cars) race up the quarter mile hoping to be the first there. In europe, no such practises exist, because we enjoy corners. Not little kinks in the road, but real corners.

Unlike gay american racing, think nascar, Euro kiddies like to take small, cheap cars, and race them for as long as it takes for one car to be so far ahead the other cannot be seen. That is a victory. The generic car of choice for this is a low end BMW or heavy-souped up supermini.
