What is Race?
1.
There are four major definitions of this word, in order of importance:
1. Genus, species, or kind. Up until about 30,000 years ago, there were other races of humans, which included Neanderthals and Archaics, but they are thought to have been indirectly out-competed by modern Homo sapiens.
2. Any competition of speed or display of rapid movement.
3. Any fictional sentient species featured in fantasy or science fiction literature that is effectively human for purposes of characterization. In role-playing games, different races (i.e. elves, dwarves, humans, halflings etc.) can be selected for play, each with it's own inherent advantages and disadvantages.
4. A word wrongly applied to refer to the 6 major populations of modern Homo sapiens, which bear different skin colors but no important genetic differences.
"Would you date a person of another race?" some dude on a foum asked me.
"If she were an elf, half-elf, or halfling, maybe. Otherwise no." I replied.

A competition.
I won the race.
3.
Biologically, race is a subspecies within a species. The species that modern humans belongs to, Homo sapiens, does not have any subspecies so the term "race," in a biological respect, does not apply to modern humans. Race, however, is used as a socio-political category in many countries, including the United States. Historically, race has been used to create a hierarchy of races, with Caucasians at the top, but in current times, the term race has migrated away from this. Biologically, people of the same "race" can be very different from each other while two people of different "races" may be very similar.
On my application, there was a question for which "race" I am, but seeing as races do not apply to modern humans, I chose to not mark one.
4.
Competition of speed in which the competitors start equidistant to a certain point that all racers attempt to reach. Whomever reaches said point first wins the race.
I finished third in the twenty-man race.
5.
In Texas Hold'em, or other similar poker games, "racing" is when two or more people are "all-in" with their chips and it is up to the cards and not betting to determine the winner.
Scott: I'm all-in.
Eric: I'll call.
Scott: Looks like we have a race on our hands.
6.
diffrence in DNA. e.g. since human has the same DNA, we are wasteing our time makeing racism jokes and fighting in a racism war.
A person from one race can go to another and reproduce, if that is possible everyone is human

Race is a bioligical term used to classifly living things. It goes genre, species, sub-species and then race.
Humans for one have 5 100% pures races currently.
Caucasoid (Europe, West Asia and North Africa), negroid (Sub-Saharan Africa), mongoloid (East Asia, Oceania, the Arctic and the Americas) who take up the majority of the worlds population. There is also a minority of capoid (Southern Africa) and austaloid (Australia and Melanesia.)
Contray to popular belief race has nothing to do with religion and natonality. Nor is the myth that caucasoids are the "plain" race which all the rest are variations of. All races of man have unique physical featues, not just skin colour.
Negroids have short shaggy hair, high cheek bones and almost perfectly round eyes. Not just the fact they are "black people".
Caucasoids have quite alot of exess hair, large foreheads and low jaws. Not just the fact they are "white people".
That nice young man who works in the local SPAR is a member of the caucasoid race.
