Radio Rock

What is Radio Rock?

1.

Radio Rock is not a concrete term. It can refer to over-produced, generic bands, but also to innovative, popular/alternative acts that get frequent radio-play on a variety of FM stations.

Elton John, Coldplay, Myslovitz are examples of radio rock by this definition.

See rock, coldplay, myslovitz, pop

2.

Bands like Nickelback, Staind, Seether, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold, all the overplayed rock music on the radio and MTV. IT ALL SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME!!! There is nothing unique about them; the music, the lyrics, every song and every band sound alike. And for some unknown reason, people actually like it. bitches...

radio rock sucks. it's extremely rare when a mainstream band is actually good.

See mainstream, mtv, nickelback, seether, avenged sevenfold
