RAGBRAI is an acronym for the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. It is an annual week-long bicycleride from West to East across the state of Iowaheld during the last week of July. The ride is unique in that the route and host cities change each year. There are approximately 10,000 official participants with up to 10,000 additional cyclists joining the ride on any given day. Each town the route passes through hosts a large party with a state fair atmosphere.
