What is Ratline?

1)the six month period of time that freshman (rats) at the virginia military institute are not considered members of the corps of cadets. it is very similar to boot camp or basic training, yet those challenges are mixed with regular college courses. it culminates into breakout which is a week long process (ressurection week) where the rats perform many challenging feats and are finally accepeted as cadets.
2) an imaginary line inside the barracks of the virginia military institute that rats are forced to walk.
the ratline is causing my grades to plummit because i have no time to study.
dude, the thirds were standing in the ratline pushing rats.
