The Rebel flag represents a lost cause by the CSA at an attempt to keep the state's right of owning people. Some say it is not a racist symbol which is right and neither was the Nazi flag which is the inversion of and Indian symbol for peace. Though not racist in conception but racist in the cause that it stood for. People claim it as heritage so therefore they should fly the flags of the French, Spanish, and British since all played some role in shaping America. But none would ever. Someone waving the rebel flag is proud of their southern heritage and everything that comes with it. Such as slavery, hatred of the united states(or the north to be more specific), belief that the only way to be successful in life is to grow and sell tobacco and/or cotton. Most sightings of the rebel flag will be at NASCAR races, stuck to the windows of trucks parked in front of the unemployment office or temporary work agency, or Baptist Church parking lots in Georgia and South Carolina. Never will you see this flag displayed by a southerner around groups of blacks as most rednecks are cowards.
