Residual Patriotism

What is Residual Patriotism?

1.

Setting off fireworks left over from the 4th of July, sometimes as long as four months after the holiday. Such actions can often be irritating, distracting, nerve wracking, or in unusual cases, soothing.

I was sitting here when I heard a bunch of explosions. I looked outside to see the neighbors throwing firecrackers. I guess they were releasing some of their Residual Patriotism.

Bob: Hey Frank, you have any plans for the weekend?

Frank: Nah, I think I'm gonna go down to the creek and release some Residual Patriotism.

Bob: It's 20°F out!
