An update of the cad monkey: An employee who uses current BIMie Building Information Modeling CAD program Revit for an architectural or engineering firm - all day, every day.

Taken from the Walt Disney term ' Imagineer'; it is based on the false notion that Revit/BIM will somehow free the production staff to embark on some nobler adventure -to actually PRACTICE architecture/design- when, in fact, they are still just CAD monkeys; only with more complicated software.

I thought using learning the new Revit platform at my architecture job would free me from my mundane CAD drafting by making the design process more streamlined and accurate, so I could participate in the decision making... but it's just the same job with a differnt toy. But now instead of CAD monkey, you'll have to call me a Reviteer!
