The act of screwing something up after bragging about how great you are at it. Usually used in a derogatory sense.
Present tense:
"_____'s such a loser, he's totally richtering up this track meet."
Past tense:
"I can't believe _____ richtered up that handstand, she's the best gymnast in school."
Future tense:
"We're so not ready for this game, we're going to richter it up to the max."
Special use:
"They got richtafied."
