What is Ruplinger?

Originally "Rupplinger". A member of the Germanic tribe of Rup. Originating from the Rheinland region of Germany, the Ruplingers are one of the most noble and prestigious of the German lineages. The Ruplingers immigrated to the United States in the early 1800's, settling in upper Wisconsin, and spread from there. The most notable members of the Ruplinger clan, descending from Peter Leo Ruplinger, moved to San Diego Californiain the early 1900's where the great Paul E. Ruplinger was born.
