Republican members of talk show host, Rush Limbaugh's, listening audience who pass themselves off as members of the Democratic party with the intent to incite dissidence within the Democratic party, to create animosity between Obama and Clinton supporters, and ultimately to sway the 2008 Presidential General election in favor of the Republicans.
From the root word "Rushpublican." Mutated to represent their war-like manner into "Rushpuglican, in short Rushpugs.
"The Rushpugs are picking fights on the blogs. Don't fall for it. Unite for Peace!"
