A group of stoners, that icorperated the word n00b into their smoking sessions, got bored with it, and started to just state "rusty dagger..." whenever the n00b insult game got kicking off.
Rusty dagger being the main starting weapon on most MMORPG's, along with bronze armour and leather skull cap.
