What is 98%?

The mark people say they got when they got really 85%. People say this because they might have got 98% on one test, mid 90’s on most tests, but when marks for assignments, random homework checks, and the final exam are in, their final mark in the course was around 85%. People who say they got 98% do not consider themselves to be lying, rather selective about the information they make public.
