Another way to write :- (the confused smiley), or WTF. Usually used on sidekicks if it's too much of a hassle to double press the 'alt' key or press the 'alt' key three times and move your thumbs to the neccessary keys for the smiley. And the same goes for WTF but with the 'shift' key instead of the 'alt' key.
But in cases of utterly complete nonsense confusion, all three can be used at once to show the utterly complete nonsense confusion.
