Its a tone level. Like you have different tones like anger, grief, enthusiasm, apathy, boredom and so on, you have covert hostility. Covert hostility is when people cheat on you, pretend to be your friend, is totally fake, and is basically just a bitch. Covert hostility is 1.1 on the tonescale. (You can say it like one-one or one-point-one)
