a wretched piece of shitthat passes for a romantic thrillermovie that was released with great fanfare in 1986. It stars Mickey Rourkeand Kim Basinger as 2 lovers in a relationship dominated by a kinky, sometimes violenteroticism punctuated with sadomasochisticflourishes. A waste of time, effort and money.

9 1/2 Weeks is a horrible, lousymovie, but it has a good soundtrack. The soundtrack features prime cuts like "I Do What I Do" by John Taylor of Duran Duran, "Slave to Love" by Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music, as well as nice tunes by Corey Hart, Luba, Devo, the Eurythmics and more.
