What is /cry?

most commonly used in MMORPG, such as World of Warcraft. An emote (see emoticon) to express a character as sad, upset, distraught, or otherwise unhappy. Used verbally ("slash cry") to express disappointment over something trivial.

"I lost a bet today and I was like /cry."
