Awesome australian built car. Great for smoking 4 cylinder and rotary cars, who think that V8's are slow. Also great for smashing Holdens on the street and at the racetrack.
The new generation of XR8s (BA to FG) are mechanically absolutely brilliant, they feature a modular 5.4L engine assembled in Australia, utilising some local Australian parts. The BA XR8 cranks out 260kW at the flywheel, which with a simple few tweaks can result in that kind of power at the wheels.
I love these cars, i should know, i have one.
