adjective: Portmanteau of "(to) scale" and "realistic"

A term used in scale modelling and RC modelling to descibe a functioning model that is highly detailed in order to look as real as possible, but at a smaller scale. This usually involves paint themes that mimic full scale Example of scalistic models are Radio Control crawlers (scale rigs), drift cars, and of course most Concours show cars.

By using a detailed shell and adding 1:10 jerry cans, working headlights and a winch, Bob built a very scalistic model of a Toyota FJ40.
