What is Schifner?

Schifner is when someone believes that they are much better than they think they are at a certain subject or area, but believe they are much better than the truth. Great amounts of money and effort are put into these subjects in hopes of improvement, but never to avail.
Adam: I didnt think Jake was that good of a football player, why is he trying so hard to get into a school when its obvious he cant?
