The word you say to someone when you don't want to say "I really like you a lot... really i do," because that's just awkward and uncomfortable and you do like them more than just liking them, but its too early in the relationship to say "love." So this communicates the feeling without the awkward sentence.
"These last three months have been really wonderful I just want to say that I schmerg you..."
"I love you too!"
"No no, I'm not at that point yet... I schmerg you."
