(sh'wAk'blok) - The act of stumping or holding back a sub-ordinates career out of fear of that persons skill set. Particularly oriented towards Information Technology Managers whose ego and fear for their own job manifests into directing credit for achievments away from a potentially higher skilled underling.
It is also the act of assigning high profile tasks to less skilled workers (than are available,) for the purposes of maintaining control and/or for socially beneficial purposes.
Akin to Cock-Blocking.
Bob is schwacblocking Steve on the Intranet project because he's trying to impress Susan in Project Managment.
Steve got schwacblocked on that infrastructure expansion project.
