The use of peer-to-peer software such as BitTorrentto distribute media files that have been subject to (self) censorshipor intimidation in attempts to prevent traditional broadcast.

A portmanteau of "Scientology" and "Torrent", in reference to the former's penchant for using litigation and harassment in attempts to silence any critics in the mainstreammedia.
