also known as grunge its the defining sound of alice in chains, pearl jam, soundgarden, nirvana and motherlovebone. Layne Staley who was a true artist ,genius and lost soul took the sound to the max and will always be remembered by myself and the chosen few who knew greatness when they saw it!
