A situation in which one member of some sort of instant-messaging chat repeatedly types and sends the word "sex" to other member. This is often used to interrupt a long speech or an opener for the beginning of an IM chat session. Sex spam is also a way to flash epeen, by seeing how fast you can send the word "sex" without copying and pasting the word.
