What is Sexsd?

We all know San Diego, California. It's simply the place with the best weather, isn't it? San Diego County has its different locations such as Mira Mesa, Miramar, Point Loma, La Jolla, Del Mar, etc. These locations are the ones most known for its tourist attractions and scenic views.
Southeast San Diego, however, is a little more different. According to San Diego CityBEAT, Southeast San Diego, SExSD, "extends from roughly south of Highway 94 to the border of National City, and east from Interstate 805 to Lemon Grove". You could say it's the rough part of San Diego, the area in which Caucasians are the minority in the population, with Latinos/Hispanics, Filipinos/Asians, and African-Americans. There are also the gangs, SK, PH, SSI, AKP, and more as well as the local bands: ANMA, Dinosaur Party, Fataux, and No Way Out, which is now widely known as the band that got big: My American Heart.
But this area is not to be underestimated, for though it is the less recognized area of San Diego and in need of revitalization, it is one which lives straight up from the ground.
