Based on the salute from the well known Newcastle and ex-England striker - to give 'a shearer' is a sexual position where the male takes the female up against a wall from behind whilst raising his right hand in acknowledgement of his achievement and the ‘big man’ himself. Some have found that imagining scoring a goal passed the Germans has provided extra satisfaction. Giving a Shearer in the mirror is often accredited as the ultimate in ‘shearer’ action.
