What is Shoeboxing?

An artform whose means of expression involves the repurposing of forgotten household artifacts (eg. old letters, poems, journals, notes) commonly stored in shoeboxes to create offbeat biographical portraits or stories.

Found Magazine, Mortified and Trachtenberg Family Slidehsow Players are popular shoeboxing projects.
