What is Shonig?

Shinnecock Indians living on the Indian Reservation on Long Island. Most are really 1/16 Indian and the rest is mixed although usually black.

Last night a shonig came into the bar, started a bunch of fights, threw his beer at me, then broke the door to the bathroom.
