When a person has no particular reason to call a friend but does so anyway. i.e. Their cell phone's sim card seemed to be itching for attention.
Person 1: Hi! How are you doing? What's up?
Person 2: Fine, nothing much happening here and you?
Person 1: Same here, just had a major simitch and decided to call.
