Sin

What is Sin?

1.

An ontological flaw or spiritual imperfection. A word, thought, or action that is contrary to the will of God--an act or offense against God. This concept came out of the Jews' state of powerlessness and is the cultural equivalent of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This disorder is characterized by ritualistc behavior and dogmatic thinking, the belief that one must do certain things, the belief that one cannot do certain things, and the belief that one is somehow unclean--often leading to a hand washing ritual. Healthy cultures, such as the Polynesians, and individuals do not believe in sin or that a Supreme Being could be offended or have its will in any way thwarted.

Christians, Jews, and Muslims believe in sin.

Polynesians and other healthy worldviews do not believe in sin.

2.

Short for the word sine. It is a stupid and idiotic trigonometric function. Gives headaches to calculusstudents everywhere. Teachers try to give there students a stupid story about an indian, but they never really care, and when taught at seven in the morning, it could never really be understood.

sin(90)=1

It should be a sin to teach us about sin this early in the morning and expect us to remember it.

A mixture of gin and hennesy. It orginated from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rap artist, Krayzie Bone using this term in some of his songs.

You add some gin then mix it with hen, and you get this drink which I call "sin"

5.

An immoral act. Also a trigonometry concept that plagues calculus students.

<@Terror> "It's easy to forget what a sin is in the middle of a battlefield."

7.

Misconduct. Wrong doing. Grave error. Often associated with, or the result of stupidity.
