What is Slit Wrists?

A type of self-mutilation mainly practiced by "emo" people to "punish themselves because everything is my fault..I am worthless..My girlfriend broke up with me"..etc. Mostly people with a serious problem don't run around with a paper cut on their arm showing people to get attention..sympathy..what have you. "Slit wrists" is also a term used by rapper Eminem in a few of his songs such as "Stan" and "When I'm Gone".

I glance down, I don't believe what I'm seeing
"Daddy it's me, help Mommy, her wrists are bleeding,".
"Hey emo kid..stop crying over your slit wrists and just shoot yourself in the head instead! Its much faster and it helps both of us out!"
