(This word was invented by the awesome Mrs. Payne and she has been trying to get it into circulation for the last couple of years so let's make her dream come true and get it into an official dictionary, okay?)

v. A combination of slinking and lurking: Slurking occurs when one strolls along with a slight bounce in their step, as if a giant slinky were to sprout legs and walk, while simultaneously lurking about. Slink + Lurk = Slurk.

someone (particularly female) who tries to make friends with everyone, and abandoning their real friends in the progress but when the he/she loses contact with these new friends, tries to befriend the old ones again.

I bet she will try and be friends with us again when her new friends realise what a slurk she is.

This is an awkward, off-balance action where a person or animal sort of slides and scoots at the same time with one leg kind of sticking-out to the side and one leg folded underneath where most of the locomotion is generated by both hands and one knee....or both hands and the ass.
1. The baby slurked across the deck in efforts to fall down the stairs into the yard.
2. My cat slurked across the carpet because she thought it was a $3000 square of toilet paper that I installed for her.
